Dharan Makes His Singing Debut
Looks like composer Dharan is gung-ho about his forthcoming album, Podaa Podi, as it features a song that has been sung by him.
He says, “There are seven tracks in the album. The title track, which is also the only melodious number in the film, has been sung by Benny Dayal and Andrea. I have also made my singing debut with this album, with the song, Hare Rama Hare Krishna. It will sound like the popular hippie songs from the 80s.”
He adds, “I first sang the track, and decided to try it out with another singer. But then, Simbu and director Vignesh Shiva liked my voice and asked me to retain my rendition!”
Talking about the Love Pannlama... number, he says, “Vignesh and I first created a story board about a young Indian, living in London and how he falls in love. When Simbu heard our concept, he immediately liked it. We composed the song and slept off in the studio itself. When we woke up in the morning, we listened to the track and we knew we had a winner in hand!”

Simbu, Selva, Yuvan to work together
Written By stronlinefansworld on 7 October 2012 | 16:27
The trio might team up for a project next year
Here’s a new actor-director combination that’s set to rock Kollywood next year. We hear that Simbu will team up with none other than Selvaraghavan, actor Dhanush’s brother, on a project soon. What’s more, it looks like the music for this film will mark the return of the Yuvan Shankar Raja-Selva combination.
A source says, “The two (Selva and
Simbu) met up recently and discussed the proposition. Both of them are
interested in working together and the fact that Yuvan, who has worked
extensively with Simbu, wanted to get back again with Selva made the
idea more exciting.”
Selvaraghavan, who is currently busy with Irandaam Ulagam starring
Arya and Anushka, is working on a love story for the Simbu project. A
source says, “It will have a lot of musical elements. Yuvan has composed
some of his best tunes for Selva in films like Kadhal Kondein and 7G
Rainbow Colony.” After their initial films, the filmmaker opted to work
with composers like G V Prakash and Harris Jayaraj. There is a lot of
expectations from this ‘comeback’ film.
When Chennai Times contacted Simbu about this development, all he was willing to say was, “It’s too early to talk about this project.”

Not only Simbu is active as an
actor, he is also turning out to be one of the most sought after singers
in the industry. Post the release of his ‘Love Pannalama Vendama’ from
Podaa Podi, many budding composers are approaching him. His latest hit
is the Chennai Anthem, which he has rendered for the film Madhil Mel
Poonai.
Now we hear that he has crooned a number, ‘Un Vizhi’ for the film Karma. LV Ganesan, son of the legendary musician LV Vaidhyanadhan, has composed music for the film, directed by Arvind Ramalingam.

The shoot of Vaalu is fast progressing and as part of the next leg, a detailed market set has been put up behind Prasad Labs in Chennai. This market resembles the Koyambedu market and is supposed to be the villain's den in the movie. Kannada actor Aditya plays the villain in this flick and scenes featuring him will be shot in the set for the next one week. STR and Hansika would also take part in three scenes.
Vishwaroopam set designer Ilaiyaraja has created this set over a period of one week and sources claim that it looks very authentic.

Manmadhan 2 not now: Simbu
Written By stronlinefansworld on 12 September 2012 | 17:05
What's Simbu doing next? Well, that's what the industry is talking about. The latest is that STR is getting upset with media reports about his upcoming project. While some sections of the media have speculated that the actor will be doing Manmadhan 2 next, the actor seems to have other plans.
He tweeted, "I please request media to stop writing news about Manmadhan 2 because nothing has been confirmed yet and i have to finish the script work 1st."
Currently, the actor has got Vaalu and Poda Podi at hand right now. While the former is said to be a quickie and will get done by Diwali, the latter is something that has been long pending. Only recently have ads started re-appearing and it now looks like the movie will hit screens soon.
