Simbu shoots in railway station

The actor is currently shooting for Vaalu, which he plans to release on Diwali. A significant portion of the film is set inside a railway station as Simbu's father in the film is a station master. He had approached the Southern Railways to permit shooting for a few days in a railway station. However, the authorities had refused because most of the bigger stations were crowded.

Following this, Simbu had approached the South Central Railways who had managed to find a station near Hyderabad that could be used for the shooting. Now, the Vaalu team is shooting is progressing at a brisk pace there because they have been allowed only very few days to shoot at this station.

We hear that shooting is going on during all times of the day (and night) as the team has to return to Chennai by August.

Vaalu is a comedy entertainer that pairs Simbu with Hansika Motwani. Santhanam and VTV Ganesh play crucial roles in the film.
